Welcome to my blog…
Hi, I’m Steve Quirke - I’m a Mac Wrangler, tech generalist and ex-Thoughtworker
Over the last decade, I appear to have become a subject matter expert in Apple Device Management, as well as all things Identity, and Single Sign On - as an Okta super admin. I can even turn my hand to a little bit of Windows management, if I really have to.
Not bad for a failed film student! ;)
This blog was originally created to learn a bit about static site generators, and hosting static sites on Amazon Web Services. It’s turned into my seldom updated part of the internet, where I seem to write about, tech, cars, motorbikes, and cats. Honestly, sometimes I think I spend more time looking after the CI/CD pipeline that manages the uploading posts to Amazon than I do on actually creating blog content. Worse, updating the pipeline ends up becoming content (and I’m sure I’ve updated the deployment method since then too.)
I don’t just do digital things, analogue technology is welcome. It must be as I appear to own a large number of broken elderly cars and motorcycles - some posts may vere away from hi-tech and may be much oilier…
I live in the not very fashionable bit of East London, with my wife, my seven year old son and two rescue cats.
In my spare time I’m the editor of MZ Rider, the magazine of the MZ Riders Club and love going on roadtrips by Citroen 2cv.
I’m also one of the admins of the London Apple Admins group. If you’re in or around London, don’t be shy - come and meet us at one of our regular events!
